At Life’sWork Yoga, we believe in building the relationships that will encourage success and personal growth. Here are a few of the questions we are frequently asked about Life’sWork Yoga classes, philosophy, guarantees, and payment options.

What’s unique, different or special about Yoga at Life’sWork Studio?

At Life’sWork, we specialize in therapeutic yoga to enhance restoration and safe return to vibrant living. All classes are offered with abundant props and expressed permission for adaptation and personalization. Our teachers are trained in krama adaptations so all levels can participate in a way that honors their body, energy and needs. Literally, all you have to do is show up and breathe!

What is Inspired Living?

Inspired Living is a holistic approach that blends yoga philosophy, modern neuroscience, and practical life skills to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater awareness, resilience, and purpose. Rather than focusing on fixing what’s wrong, Inspired Living, is based on a priority of self-care, helps you shift your perspective, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and make choices aligned with your values. Through reflection, somatic practices, and compassionate inquiry, you’ll develop the tools to respond to life with intention instead of reacting on autopilot.

Inspired Living is the practice of living intimately with all that life has to offer by way of the practices of yoga. Inspired Living takes Yoga beyond the studio and off the mat. Inspired Living is the foundation of everything we do and all the services we offer at Life’sWork Yoga & Wellness.

What qualifications do you bring to the practice of Yoga?

First and foremost, we love yoga and love helping others cultivate a life of inspiration. As a daily practice to breathe, move and rest! But truly, we are excited and honored to share this practice as an ancient strategy for wellness and a modern remedy for disconnection. Let’s practice together! Be you. Be here. Belong.

What types of Memberships do you offer?

Depending on your participation level and access preference, we offer FOUR membership options:

  1. Life’sWork Premium Membership: unlimited access to every in-studio and virtual class on our public schedule (up to one practice daily), our complete Digital Studio Library, Guru Circle & Quarterly Book Club, plus Sticker Club & Referrral Bonus memberships. Who is Membership right for?

Life’sWork Membership is right for ANYONE who has an interest in yoga and a desire to cultivate authenticity, vibrancy, connection and inspiration into their life and wants to feel a part of something larger than themselves. Be You. Be here. Belong!!

ALL Membership options support all levels of experience, from the BRAND new student to the seasoned yogi. Practice includes a variety of intensities and class types, breathing practices, and meditations. All practices can be adapted and modified for all levels of mobility, flexibility and strength. For Yoga to have its most powerful benefit, consistency is key. If you are brand new (to Yoga, to Life’sWork or to me), apply the rule of three… try three practices before you decide what level of participation is right for you.

When can I enroll?

Studio Membership enrollment is ALWAYS open, up to a maximum of 100 students. Your monthly fees will be automatically drawn according to your enrollment date. After your initial enrollment requirement, you can cancel at any time with 30-days notice.

When can I practice?

Our DIGITAL Studio is ALWAYS OPEN for unlimited participation. With over 150 separate practices from just breath, to a complete 2-hour practice, practice how and  when it suits you! New CONTENT and ENHANCEMENTS every month.

The LIVE Studio schedule changes each season though typically consists of 7am, 10am, mid-day, and evening practices offered Monday-Saturday. Though, nothing is permanent! So I can’t promise all the current practices will remain on the site forever. Visit often and practice consistently!

Live practice participation (in studio or online) typically requires a 2-hour pre-registration which allows our teachers and students to prepare for the dual tasks of online and in-studio participants and to encourage intentionality for self-care for all community practitioners.

How much time does it take?

It really is up to you! Practice a little or a lot. A little yoga is always better than no yoga! But rather than focusing on volume, we want to encourage consistency!

What do you mean by “small” classes?

Where most studious prioritize filling a space with students, we offer an abundance of space to breathe, move and rest in every practice. In studio participation in Yoga practice is limited to 10-12 participants, except for special programs that might extend to 18 (if movement is minimal). This provides a more intimate setting, clear visibility for teacher adjustments and support and extra-large mats (7’x3’) and additional space to keep props handy. Online participation allows for as many as 99 additional students.

Do I need anything special to participate in practice?

Nope! But there are some tools that can help. For in-studio practice, we provide all the props you’ll need. You may like to bring your own mat, but it’s not required.

For digital access, really all you need is a good internet connection and space to move! Also I think it’s a good idea to practice patience and a willingness to ask for help whenever using technology or trying something new. Remember, #itsapractice. Whatever you do, breathing is the only requirement, but do try to have fun!

Additionally, for participation in LIVE practice (whether in studio or via Zoom), you will need to pre-register at least two hours prior to class start for each individual practice via the Studio Schedule after which you will receive an email that contains the Zoom Link for your scheduled practice. If you DO NOT receive your class link within 15-minutes of registration or see a Join button on the home page under Upcoming Reservations, reach out directly for assistance.

Lastly, we use a lot of props (and often provide substitution ideas), but here are the basics: Yoga mat, 2 firm foam blocks, a large bolster, a blanket, Therapy twin balls from Yoga Tune-Up (Original, Plus & Alpha Twin sets) and Courgeous Ball from Yoga Tune-Up. You can purchase your own tools from our Studio Boutique!

Is there a money back guarantee?

I would LOVE to provide a guarantee, but as this is a practice based on your participation, I cannot guarantee any specific results. However, I would never want you to be unhappy with your experience. All I ask is that you give it an honest go. If you have any doubts with your commitment, start with the $1 Virtual Trial or a class pass to try a few studio LIVE classes to see what your schedule can manage. If you opt in and find you don’t like it, or are unhappy with the Membership for any reason, simply shoot me an email, and I’ll un-register you from the program. No questions asked… (though I welcome your feedback) and hopefully, no hard feelings, either!

What if I miss a session or am unavailable at that time?

All LIVE sessions will be recorded and made accessible via the Program Page of your Membership portal. If your program has credentialing requirement you may need to coordinate make-up training time or alternative demonstration of comepetcy of the missed content. Additional fees may be required to cover staffing costs for make-up content. If you cannot participate live, you may submit your questions in advance via email. I answer them in session and you can watch the replay at your convenience.

Do I need anything special to access the training portal?

Most of our courses are offered as a combination of technology enabled face-to-face interaction with modern-virtual/social media enhancements. The videos stream, so a good internet connection is recommended. Upon course opening, you’ll receive information about how to join the APP, interact in our private chat room and virtually join our Circles, and Training sessions.

How long do I have to register?

As a general rule, registration closes two-weeks PRIOR to the event start or when space if full. Some programs also offer an independent study version, or a self-guided virtual program, which can allow for OPEN enrollment. Please inquire for more information if interested in independent or apprenticeship access.

Are there payment plans?

Yes! I know how hard it is to shell out a chunk of dough, and I want to make this possible for you. You have the option to pay in full for a slightly reduced price, or make payments in installments. Details vary for each program, based on program length and level of commitment. Payment options are available upon checkout. However, if you are taking advantage of a smaller program or have received a SPECIAL PROMO CODE then payment plan options are waved.

How is Somatic Coaching different from Therapy?

Somatic Coaching is different and distinct from therapy in that it focuses on momentum to live with and in the now and prepare for what’s next with intention and purpose. Some clients will combine therapy and coaching in order to build a broader circle of support. LWY offers Yoga-based Coaching which employs the practices, philosophies and teachings of Yoga to cultivate intimacy with Prana (inspiration), self and others. Coaching is a conversation with your mind and your body to explore and clarify personal values, preferences and boundaries while practicing strategies for living in ease within these identified roles, expectations and realities.

Are there payment plans?

Yes! I know how hard it is to shell out a chunk of dough, and I want to make this possible for you. You have the option to pay in full for a slightly reduced price, or make payment in monthly installments. Both of these options are available to you upon checkout.

What if it doesn’t work for me?

I would never want you to be unhappy with your experience. And with anything new, especially when it involves transformation, change and learning, it can take some time to develop the discipline (tapas), and find what works for you. All I ask is that you give it a solid try. I suggest a minimum of three sessions. If it really doesn’t work for you, you can cancel. If you don’t like it, or are unhappy with the membership for any reason, simply shoot me an email, and I’ll un-register you from the program and cancel your membership. No questions asked… and hopefully, no hard feelings, either!

How Credits Work

Each offering is assigned a credit value based on its depth, duration, and level of support. 1 credit is approximately $5, making it easy to understand the value of your investment.

  • 2 credits – Just Breathe & Just Pause (short, accessible practices to reset and regulate)
  • 3–5 credits – Most group practices (gentle yoga, slow flow, restorative, etc.)
  • 6 credits – Thera-Yoga (our most integrative, therapeutic group experience)

Private sessions follow a similar structure, allowing you to choose the level of support you need:

  • 3-6 credits – Grounding and Vibration for brief, (15-30 min) equipment use with minimal support
  • 12-30 credits – 30-60 minute appointments with personal support and adaptation
  • Up to 45 credits – 90 minute treatments and Yoga Therapy Intake (comprehensive, individualized assessment and planning)

Why a Credit System?

This model gives you the freedom to use your credits however you need. Your credits are not locked into one type of service—you can apply them toward any public practice or private session, depending on what supports you most in the moment.
